Morgan, Allison and Karlee are currently accepting NEW Patient
To provide Massage Therapy services to the community in accordance with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) standards of practice, Regulated Health Professions Act, and Massage Therapy Act.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform Registered Massage Therapy as set out by the Scope of Practice by the CMTO
· Complete all patient charting no later than 24 hours after the treatment in question.
· Maintain a clean and safe treatment space free from hazards to oneself and the patient.
· Perform regular administrative duties of booking clients, processing payment, balancing cash drawer, replying to client emails and laundry- as needed.
· Mentorship with weekly huddles and quarterly performance reviews.
· Comply with organizational polices, procedures and standards.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Active general certificate member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
· Current profession liability insurance
· Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
· Customer service, interpersonal and telephone skills.
· Computer literacy in Microsoft and JaneApp.
· Ability to maintain successful working relationships with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
· Ability to meet and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible, and reassuring manner.
· Behaviour consistent with Northern Massage Solutions’ Mission, Vision, and Standards of Practice
· Ability to read, write and communicate to perform the duties of the position.
· Knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods
· Knowledge of relevant governing bodies standards and acts
· Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with Health Information Protection Act requiring decision making when appropriate to disclose/share information and documenting appropriately.
· Required to plan some aspects of work within specific deadlines, with some need to change priorities of the job while working as a team.
· Exercise judgement by providing input into performance measures/standards, operational planning, service delivery and business support matters.
· Exercise judgement by providing input for the team at the level of professional personnel as required.
· Unusual problems are referred to the supervisor or to the more experienced employee.
· Attend to selection of practitioner supplies, such as lotion, linens, etc.
· Manage patient charts as outlined within the Standards of Practice of the CMTO
· Recommend replacement of defective or damaged equipment in a timely manner
· The work does not have the requirement to exercise supervision although the work may include assisting or training new or inexperienced employees and or students.
· Responsible for the efficient utilization of materials and resources that will provide the best outcomes for patients and to work within the parameters of the CMTO.
· The position makes recommendations to the team budget for supplies, resources, and trainings.
· Failure to adhere to established policies, legislative or contractual requirements could have legal implications- including termination, loss of RMT license, or legal proceedings against the RMT.
· Failure to properly document to the CMTO’s standard may have a negative impact on the patients’ health and wellness, which could result in termination or loss of RMT license.
· Contact internal involves responding to company provided email address.
· Contact externally involves obtaining and providing routine information and answering straightforward questions. Communication requires tact.
· All financial documents, patient requests for charts, clinic policies and procedure shall be communicated from the general email box.
All Northern Massage Solutions employees are responsible for the following health and safety duties:
